the intellectual adventures, throwing water outside during the polar vortex, harper tutor nights (7-11 every single night!), the emotional rollercoaster ride that is computer science, reading durkheim and fields and freud and fanon and beauvoir, what a time! this has been one of the most rigorous and exciting quarters at uchicago yet. ive managed to live in the moment, to just grow and stretch my mind, to soak up all the knowledge and experiences. looking back, ive sort-of-mastered a programming language in a few weeks, which i could not have done in any other environment.
I am also so happy I am growing in my faith and surrounded by people i love --> bonding with Kenna over niche things. fashion forward with Gillian, who shares my energy. catching up with judy at the med. closer with Nadiah, whom i will miss dearly when she studies in hong kong next quarter, but overjoyed to know that she will have an amazing experience. reconnecting with Emily, who always pulls through for emotional support. hang outs with nick. once in a blue moon but always pleasant interactions with kiana, the queen of variety and hairstyles. laughing and eating mary’s birthday funeral cake with renee. always a joy getting lunch with alicia.
